Dr Androula Ladikos

Androula Ladikos is a graduate of the University of Pretoria, having obtained her MBCHB Degree there as well as her MMED Psych Degree. She trained in Child Psychiatry at Weskoppies Hospital and obtained her Child Psychiatry Certification through the HPCSA. She also holds a Diploma in Child Health through the College of Medicine (SA) and a MPHARM MED Degree also obtained at The University of Pretoria. In 2003 she completed the Manchester Advanced Business Management Course (through the Foundation for Professional Development Medical Association of South Africa). She has been in Private Practice since 1991, was a part time Consultant at the Child and Family Unit, assisting in the training of Medical Students, Psychiatric Registrars as well as Paramedical Staff and Psychology Interns. Dr Ladikos has worked in various settings in child and adolescent psychiatry in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. She has experience in the conducting of clinical trials and has publications in various journals. She has served on Advisory Boards for Janssen, Eli Lilly, Novartis, and Mylan on ADHD. In October 2012, she received the Life Time Contribution to Building South African Knowledge and Skills Base in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Award by the Jellybeans Organization for children affected by trauma and abuse. Dr Ladikos has a specific interest in early intervention and development as well as ADHD. She has presented numerous talks on the topic as well as other areas of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
