Mrs Juazel de Villiers

Juazel de Villiers is a Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years of experience in the field of Neurodevelopment. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees Cum Laude at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University before registering as a Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA. She previously lectured at Pearson College, where she also offered research supervision for 4th year B.Psych students. She has completed additional training to develop her skills and expertise, including training from Judith Gould and other team members from the Lorna Wing Centre, leading to accreditation in the use of the DISCO (Diagnostic Interview for Social & Communication Disorders). Her area of clinical practice predominantly focusses on the assessment, systemic and therapeutic support of those with neurodevelopmental and associated diagnosis, including ADHD and Autism. She has a special interest in the prevention and treatment of anxiety and depression in the ADHD, Autistic and wider neurodiverse community. She is currently in private practice in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, where she offers therapy across the lifespan from a systemic approach. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and offers training for other professionals and families on various platforms (including for Ethics Simplified, Family Mediators’ Association of the Western Cape, the Department of Education and the Neurodiversity Centre). She also provides clinical supervision to other professionals and therapists.
