Dr Wisani Makhomisane

Dr. Wisani Makhomisane is a Specialist Psychiatrist who received her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She pursued her career in psychiatry at the University of Limpopo, obtaining a Master’s in medicine degree with a focus on the relationship between HIV and mental illness. Additionally, she is a fellow of the College of Psychiatrists (CMSA). She is pursuing a post-graduate certificate in ADHD & Autism at Middlesex University in the UK. Dr. Makhomisane is particularly interested in women’s mental health and neurodiversity in Child, Adolescent, & Youth mental health. She also serves as a board member of The International Marcé Society for Perinatal Mental Health and is a member of PATHSA (Professional Association for Transgender Health, South Africa). Dr. Makhomisane runs a private practice in Polokwane, Limpopo, where she provides in-person and online consultations.
